Control cabinet assembling

Customer: IEK Group (http://www.iekgroup.com/)

The program is designed for accurate, quick and easy assembling a separate frame of control cabinet or a frame for several control cabinets.

Brief description of the program functional

At first, user creates a project where he can choose how many cabinets does the project contain? Would it be one separate cabinet or line of cabinets between which he may proceed from the first to the next.

It’s necessary to select dimensions for the cabinet - Height, Depth and Width, among the variants offered by the program. Also the user has to choose amount of introductory cells and registry cells for cabinets. Based on the specified sizes, cabinets are created automatically. Program finds suitable structural details and records them to the BOM. Structural details are the right size metal frame, metal walls and floor for cabinet and the door.

Next, you need to fill the cabinet with accessories. Accessories include mounting panels and DIN-rails, which will be further filled by the electrical equipment.

Program finds suitable mounting panels and DIN-rails regarding to the cabinet width. The number of accessories is limited by the height of the cabinet and the user always receives warning if the total height of mounting panels and DIN-rails is more than cabinet height. During assembling user sees 2D image of cell.

The BOM of the project

All selected equipment is copied to the Specification Tab. If the user needs something else, what he had not added, he can use Catalog Tab where he can choose additional equipment and add it to the BOM. There are two kinds of BOMs: for purchases and for assembling and they are different. Both specifications are created in Excel format.

The BOM for assembling contains list of equipment similar as in BOM tab. Also all of 2D images for mounting panels and DIN-rails are exported into Excel. This specification is useful for constructors and designers.

The BOM for purchases is different in comparison to the BOM for assembling. The same names of equipment are automatically summarized by names. Total amount of details for the order are accounted in the QUANTITY column.  This specification is useful for suppliers and purchasing managers.
